Firefighters pulled a body from a Connecticut pond after receiving a 911 from a passerby who spotted the man.The incident took place around 8:46 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 30, when a passerby called 911 to report a body in the ice-covered Duck.

New Haven Police have identified a body that was found in the ice-covered Duck Pond of Edgewood Park around 8:46 a.m. on Saturday.
Officials confirmed the victim was 18-year-old Brandon Jenkins.
An ambulance transported Jenkins to Yale-New Haven Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
Jenkins family reported him missing on Sunday, December 20, 2020 and a Silver Alert was issued.

Wednesday marked one year since a fire broke out at a marina in Jackson County and killed eight people.
It happened at Jackson County Park in the middle of a cold January night. A small fire broke out aboard a houseboat that was one of 35 boats tied up just feet apart from each other along Dock B.
