Recently, 8th grader Jasmine Hurdle, with the help of Nicole Hurdle and Cayden Hallett, delivered hundreds of new and used sports donations she collected to the Waterbury Department of Parks and Recreation. Donations include items from Kara Wolters Dream Big Camp, local AAU teams, parks and recreation departments, and Windsor Locks families.
Jasmine’s father and uncle grew up playing sports at the Waterbury rec centers and they passed down their love for sports to Jasmine and her sisters. Jasmine wanted to make sure other kids have the chance to love sports too.

WATERBURY, Conn In a letter to the Waterbury Public Schools Community, it was announced students will be returning to their hybrid learning model on Monday, February 1.
The decision was made through collaboration with Mayor Neil O Leary, the City of Waterbury Department of Public Health, and the Board of Education after review the recent health data from the City and Connecticut.
