Position sought: Wachusett Regional School Committee
My name is Aidan Kearney and I m running for a seat to represent Holden on the Wachusett Regional School Committee because our kids deserve better. I m the father of a 3-year-old and a 5-year-old kindergartener at Davis Hill. We moved here from Worcester five years ago because of the stellar reputation of the schools, but we ve yet to see that because of the failures of the current school committee.
I had to tell my 5-year-old daughter in September that unlike kids in other towns, she wouldn t be able to go to kindergarten. They put her and thousands of other students in front of Chromebooks in their bedrooms and called it an education. Other kids to my daughter were nothing more than faces on a screen, whom she wanted to talk to and play with but couldn t. She couldn t make friends. Although her teacher has done an amazing job to make the best of it, this was never an acceptable alternative to an in-person education. In orde
Position sought: Wachusett Regional School Committee member
My name is Barry Dellecese and I am running to represent Holden on the Wachusett Regional School Committee.
With my wife, Natalie, and our four children, we moved to Holden a little over two years ago and built our “forever” home in this great community. Like many of you, my family and I moved to Holden for its outstanding sense of community and excellent schools. We love it here. We have great neighbors. Our kids have been involved in Scouts, sports, swim lessons and many other activities. We have been blessed with amazing teachers and an awesome administration at Davis Hill. As a parent of two elementary school students and two toddlers not yet ready for school, I want to ensure that Holden continues to offer high quality education for all our children.

Position sought: Wachusett Regional School Committee member
Introduction: Since 2017, I have been running the Facebook page I Am Wachusett - In Action. I started it after a school committee member called for advocacy to go from solely online advocacy to action by the community. I stepped up to hold a community meeting, organize further meetings in each of the five district towns, and to advocate for WRSD by educating the community on the budget process and letting them know how they as citizens could take simple actions to help.
Since starting the page, the WRSD budget has passed in all five towns every year. I hope the I Am Wachusett group and In Action facebook page had some small part in making that happen.
