Urban land development – not climate change – has resulted in shorter, more intense wet seasons in Florida

https://www.afinalwarning.com/235466.html (Natural News) Cities and other urban areas are experiencing shorter, more intense wet seasons than underdeveloped and rural areas – but it’s not because of climate change. A recent study from  Florida State University showed a trend of decreasing wet-season length in Florida’s urban areas due to changing land cover over the past few decades. However, seasonal rainfall accumulation was found to have remained relatively stable across Florida. This means that urban areas experience the same amount of rainfall but in a shorter amount of time, which can lead to more intense bursts compared to rural areas, explained lead investigator Vasu Misra.
