Mr Andrew said traffic islands on the Peak Downs Highway at Walkerston needed to be shortened to remove hazards for trucks. He said the Bruce Highway between Alligator Creek and Sarina needed urgent repairs. Mr Andrew said he had previously asked the Department of Transport and Main Roads to conduct an audit on the stretch of road. Two years on from devastating Kuttabul house fire

Fifteen minutes later, her entire Kuttabul home was razed - clothing, precious photographs, heirlooms all gone. Mrs Brown, who is partially deaf, said her dog saved her life by coming into the bedroom to wake her, as she tearfully reflected on that horrific night two years ago that claimed the family home of 15 years.
