Holly Hill, FL - A 37-year-old Ormond Beach man is dead after police in Holly Hill say he was shot dead inside of a business. Officers with the Holly Hill Police Department (HHPD) were called to the business on Walker Street after receiving reports Thursday (May 6) afternoon that someone had been shot. When police arrived, they found 37-year-old Allen Philip Fike dead. Police also secured one unnamed subject at the scene. According to an email from the police department, investigators believe Fike had gone to the business to confront the owner about merchandise, in which they had an ongoing dispute over. Detectives are currently working with the State Attorney’s Office to complete the investigation. At this time, no charges have been filed. We will pass along updates from this investigation as they come.

Police investigating crash that killed 1 in Holly Hill

HOLLY HILL, Fla. - One person was killed in an early morning crash in Holly Hill on Thursday, police said.
The Holly Hill Police Department said it happened on Walker Street and US 1. An adult victim was struck by a southbound vehicle at 6:50 a.m. this morning. Due to the nature of the investigation, the southbound lanes of US 1 are closed temporarily while investigators are on scene.
The identity of the victim has not been released. It is not known if any criminal charges will be filed in this case.
