Watford Borough Council has warned that a dangerous tree requiring major work has been cordoned off after high winds caused one of its large branches the break. A team of experts will be assessing the tree, which is near the Minerva Drive entrance to Goodwood Recreation Ground, as soon as possible. A spokesperson for Watford council said: “Veolia who manage parks on behalf of the council are currently sorting it out and doing an inspection of the tree to make sure it is stable.” This comes as another tree collapsed onto a main road in Croxley Green and motorists have been advised to avoid Baldwins Lane as it has been entirely covered by the tree.
