England Opener Zak Crawley revealed that England was frustrated with the 50-50 decisions that went against them on referrals to the third umpire in the pink ball Test at Ahmedabad. England did not have a good outing on the first day as they did not have any luck and there were many incidents that could have gone either way. England was bundled out for just 112 in the first innings and India is on 99 for the loss of 3 wickets at the end of day one.
Rohit Sharma escaped in a close call towards the end of the play when there was a stumping referral to the third umpire Shamsuddin who failed to check the different angles and Joe Root wasn’t happy with the decision. Root had a long chat with the umpire and this was not the first time as earlier a catch taken by Ben Stokes was overruled too by the third umpire to have grassed.
