Setting up a new committee by the court is not a solution. We just want a complete repeal of the three agriculture laws. Earlier, there have been several rounds of talks between a group of Central ministers and farmer unions, which was like a committee itself, Kohar told PTI.
Taking to Twitter, Swaraj India leader Yogendra Yadav, who is also a member Sankyukt Kisan Morcha , said, The SC can and must decide on the constitutionality of the 3 farm acts. But it is not for the judiciary to decide on the feasibility and desirability of these laws. That s between the farmers and their elected leaders. SC monitored negotiation would be a wrong path.

A Sikh priest, who had joined farmers protest, shot himself dead at the Singhu border protest site outside Delhi on Wednesday. Baba Ram Singh belonged to Singhra village in Nissing area of Haryana s Karnal district.
According to reports, the 65-year-old also left a suicide note stating that he couldn t see the ordeal of farmers who are sitting on the outskirts of the national capital protesting against the recently-passed farm laws .
Singh was rushed to a local hospital in Panipat, but the doctors declared him dead on arrival, reports said.Â

NEW DELHI - Indiaâs Supreme Court on Wednesday offered to set up a mediation panel to end a three-week protest by tens of thousands of farmers who are demanding the repeal of new agricultural reform laws that they say will drive down crop prices and devastate their earnings.
