It might even be tweaked to the point that it will make reel vs. real more confusing than ever.

Deepfakes already made headlines around these parts several weeks back when Mendoza, her mom, as with her manager, trooped to the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) to complain about her image being used in these videos.
The NBI promised to look into the complaint.
The agency said the person or persons responsible for said videos could be hauled to court in violation of the Anti-Voyeurism Act, the Safe Spaces Act, as well as for cyber libel, unjust vexation, and identity theft.

Star Magic has appealed to the public to stop spreading the malicious edited photos of its stars Sue Ramirez and Maris Racal on social media.
In a statement on Jan. 26, Star Magic said: “We would like to appeal to everyone to stop sharing these fake photos on social media. The welfare of our talents is our top priority, and we intend to pursue legal action against the perpetrators and anyone who posts, distributes, or duplicates these images.”

It has come to our attention that maliciously edited images of our talents, Sue Ramirez and Maris Racal, have been circulating online.
ABS-CBN and Star Magic condemn the act of illegally manipulating photos of celebrities or anyone, which is a form of gender-based online sexual harassment under RA 11313 or The Safe Spaces Act.
We would like to appeal to everyone to stop sharing these fake photos on social media. The welfare of our talents is our top priority, and we intend to pursue legal action against the perpetrators and anyone who posts, distributes, or duplicates these images.
The 24-year-old son of Albee Benitez took to social media to defend Sue.
He wrote, “Hindi siya ganyang babae. Mali hula niyo kaya itigil niyo na yan.”
Atty. Joji Alonzo, one of the producers of “Oh My Dad!,” also came out to defend Sue, maintaining “there is absolutely nothing going on between Ian and Sue.”
Note, Ian and Sue play father and daughter in the sitcom.
