In The Broken Marriage Vow, Jodi will portray the role of Dra. Jill Ilustre, a doctor and family woman who finds out that her husband is having an affair with another woman. Jill Ilustre is originally named Gemma Foster in the British version. The Broken Marriage Vow is Jodi s follow-up project after the success of the drama series Ang Sa Iyo Ay Akin, which aired from August 2020 to March 2021. Zanjoe will play the role of David Ilustre.

Jodi Sta. Maria is the lead star in the Filipino remake of BBC’s global hit “Doctor Foster,” which will be known locally by its title “The Broken Marriage Vow,” ABS-CBN Entertainment unveiled in a live online event called “The Doctor Is In” on Friday (May 7).
Jodi, whose career is marked by compelling performances and highly acclaimed roles across various genres, takes on another iconic character as Dra. Jill Ilustre, the Filipina counterpart of Gemma Foster. A loving wife and mother with an accomplished medical career, Jill begins to see cracks in her picture-perfect life when she discovers that her husband is having an affair with a younger woman.

TNT’s move comes as more Thai series and films are becoming more popular in the Philippines the so-called “Thai Invasion,” a term used to describe the phenomenon of Thailand’s growing prominence in the international pop culture scene.
“Filipinos and Thais have always had mutual appreciation for each other’s wealth of entertainment content, but we’ve seen this grow even bigger recently as more Filipinos enjoy easy access to streaming platforms and social media through TNT’s value-packed promos,” Jane J.
