DALLAS The State of Texas is reopening back to 100 percent this week. Meantime, coronavirus outreach and prevention efforts continue across some communities in North Texas.
”We’ve had about 10 people walk in today,” Dallas ISD Community Liaison Derrick Battie said as he discussed the South Oak Cliff High School Community Resources Center.
Administrators, staff and alumni from South Oak Cliff High School have been using the Resource Center to help educate and register residents for the COVID-19 vaccine.

Ten years after a groundbreaking study revealed record-high rates of FASD in outback Australia, researchers have returned to the Kimberley to see how the children are coping in adulthood.

A 2009 study was one of the first in Australia to provide firm figures around the rates of children impaired by their mother s drinking during pregnancy

Mrs Knight said: ‘It’s amazing to be recognised by parents for having helped at what has been a difficult time for children. The biggest challenge has been trying to engage with children who have different needs and situations.
‘I’m really looking forward to the children returning and seeing them face to face.’
Mrs Thomas added: ‘It’s really flattering to be named but it has been a big team effort. We are all really excited to see the children again - it’s a massive relief they’re coming back’
