Voting Problems Reported In Newark During 2021 Primary Election - Newark, NJ - "I went to my Newark polling place on Tuesday morning to cast my ballot, only to find that there were no voting machines available."
Attorney General Merrick B. Garland laid out a detailed plan on Friday for protecting voting rights, announcing that the Justice Department would double enforcement staff on the issue, scrutinize new laws that seek to curb voter access and act if it sees a violation of federal law. Mr. Garland announced his plan as Republican-led state legislatures push to enact new restrictive voting laws, and amid dwindling chances for sweeping federal voter.
‘There are many things that are open to debate in America, but the right of all eligible citizens to vote is not one of them,’ the attorney general said in his announcement.
Protesters gathered outside the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency headquarters on Wednesday, upset that San Francisco will soon resume towing cars with unpaid parking tickets, a practice they say unfairly targets the homeless.
Promoting Inclusion and Diversity Among Employees
Published 2 hours ago
Qualcomm continued to expand its programs and activities promoting our inclusive and diverse culture among employees globally. GID’s support extends to our eight strong and vibrant Employee Networks (ENs), which added eight chapters globally while also increasing their domestic membership. Among domestic ENs, our African and African American Diversity (QAAAD) EN increased its membership more than 170 percent.
We increased global diversity awareness by hosting inclusion and diversity events all over the world. We also designated GID Regional Leads in global regions where we have a significant employee presence. These leads provide more support to the specific issues faced in the regions.
