Next month’s Crooked River Roundup ‘Reride 75’ is a go, officials say PRINEVILLE, Ore. (KTVZ) Crook County will once again welcome rodeo fans to one of Oregon’s oldest family-friendly events – the historic Crooked River Roundup. The 75th Roundup is scheduled to take place Thursday, June 24, through Saturday, June 26. Last year marked the first time since the inaugural Crooked River Roundup in 1945 the rodeo was canceled. Officials made the difficult decision to postpone the 75th anniversary celebrations. “We are excited to celebrate a milestone anniversary and ‘Reride 75’,” said Crooked River Roundup President Jason Snider. “Our rodeo committee has spent the last year planning precautionary measures to ensure the safety of rodeo participants and attendees.”

Making the community a better place May 11 2021 Third grade students at Steins Pillar join partnership with Delta Waterfowl to create mallard nests for the Crooked River Wetlands As the weather becomes more moderate and the sunshine invites young scholars outside, many classes are participating in school projects, while basking in the lambent radiance of a spring day. Last week, a classroom of third graders were immersed in a project that resulted in the culmination of creating a number of mallard houses. The project was a partnership between Steins Pillar Elementary students, the City of Prineville and Delta Waterfowl. Delta Waterfowl, which was founded as a research organization, is The Duck Hunters Organization, which is a leading conservation group founded at the famed Delta Marsh in Manitoba, Canada, with its United States headquarters in Bismarck, North Dakota.

QC Craft Beer Week kicks off in Rock Island

QC Craft Beer Week returns with a new layout and 19 local breweries The event, meant to highlight local breweries, kicks off May 10th with three Rock Island favorites, and will continue through May 15th. It s been ten years since the first QC Craft Beer Week was held, and now the event returns with 19 local brewers.  This year s Craft Beer Week will run May 10th - 15th and highlight a specific region or city each night of the week. The fun all kicks off on Monday, May 10th will all things Rock Island brewing, featuring Bent River Brewing, Radicle Effect Brewerks, and WAKE Brewing.
