A 42-year-old man has pleaded guilty in the assault of a mental health worker at the North Bay Regional Health Centre’s King Street location in December.
Appearing by video from the Sudbury Jail, Scott Fisher pleaded guilty Monday afternoon to aggravated assault resulting in disfigurement and failing to comply with a probation order in connection to the Dec. 9, 2020, incident, in which the accused struck the victim with a telephone receiver.

Fisher also pleaded guilty to an assault committed Nov. 24, 2020, and uttering threats to cause bodily harm on Nov. 10, 2020. In both instances, Fisher pleaded guilty to failing to comply with a probation order, as well.
