The new wrestling room at Granada High School in Livermore has been formally named in honor of current vice principal and former wrestling coach Clark Conover.
Zach Perry begins his book, One Among the Duggle Tree, with a dramatic scene of a 6-year-old boy awakening to find his bedroom engulfed by fire. Perry took this occurrence from his own life.
Ellie Noto added four goals for SHP against the Vikings. Ava Shenk scored three times and had three assists and Emily Leschin had three goals and two assists.
Phoebe Kim scored twice and had an assist for Palo Alto (8-5), which will likely receive a bid into the CCS playoffs despite a recent losing streak. Laney Henry also scored twice and Kellyn Scheel recorded seven saves.

Avery Lee scored a career-best 39 points and Menlo topped host The King’s Academy 81-70 in a WBAL contest Thursday.
Sharon Nejad added 18 points for Menlo (3-3, 2-3), which plays at Pinewood on Friday night.
Knights will play Pinewood on Wednesday

The Menlo School girls basketball team practiced Monday after being in quarantine for 10 days due to a positive COVID-19 test. The team last played on April 28.
Three West Bay Athletic League games against Sacred Heart Prep, The King’s Academy and Notre Dame-Belmont were not played and are unlikely to be made up. A nonleague road game against Half Moon Bay was also cancelled.

On the boys side, Gunn (6-6) earned the seventh seed and Sacred Heart Prep (6-5) qualified and will play Monday at Homestead (6-7).
Menlo (9-0) earned a bye into the second round and will host the winner of Harker (3-4) at Lynbrook (7-3) on Wednesday afternoon.
The Titans will host a second-round match against either Westmont (6-2) or Aragon (5-5).
A total of nine SCVAL teams, who only learned Friday they were eligible to participate, were selected for the tournament, with Cupertino (9-1) the highest seed at No. 3.
The finals are slated for May 27, likely at the home of the higher seed.
