HDC to refund Cocorite man for damage to window

COCORITE resident Foster Stewart will receive a refund cheque of $675 from the Housing Development Company (HDC) for repairs to the back window of his car.
On Wednesday, Newsday reported Stewart’s window was accidentally broken in October by two HDC employees who were cutting grass on the premises of his Powder Magazine Housing Scheme home.
The HDC corporate communications department issued a statement in response to the incident on Thursday. It said, “The HDC has acknowledged the incident which took place when labourers were maintain the grounds in this Cocorite community and further, apologises for the inconvenience caused to the resident.

A Cocorite man is seeking a reimbursement of $675 for repairs to the back right window of his vehicle which he said was broken by Housing Development Corporation (HDC) workers cutting grass in his area.
Foster Stewart said, on the morning of October 22, two men came to his door in Power Magazine Housing Scheme and informed him they had accidentally broken his car s back window when a stone got caught in a weed wacker being used to cut the grass. The stone was catapulted over the partition one of the men was holding up for protection and broke Stewart’s window.
