With three projects currently in motion, the city of Grande Prairie will invest more than $35-million into road projects and $1-million into the trail network.
And whether you are a motorist or a cyclist, or a pedestrian, there is a good chance you will be affected by the work that began on May 10.

Residents of Pinnacle Ridge will be among the first to experience disruptions as Pinnacle Drive between 112 and 108 Streets will be undergoing an overlay, which will include milling, concrete work, storm sewer repairs, paving, line painting and landscaping.

Starting May 10, 2021, the City’s capital construction season is scheduled to begin with road and trail overlays throughout the city.
Road overlay work is starting on Pinnacle Drive between 112 Street and 108 Street and will include cold milling, concrete work, storm sewer infrastructure repairs, asphalt overlay, line painting and landscaping. Sidewalk access will be maintained during construction; however, pedestrians should expect some disruptions.
Crews continue construction of the mill and overlay project on 92 Street, 67 Avenue to south of 72 Avenue, and on 68 Avenue between Resources Road and 86 Street. Work to be completed also includes minor concrete curb and storm work, new pavement markings, and some minor landscaping repair.
