In the Hindi tweet, Vij had said, Whoever has seeds of nation s opposition in mind should be completely destroyed, be it Disha Ravi or anyone else .
Haryana Minister Anil Vij has received a notice from micro-blogging site Twitter about a tweet by him on Disha Ravi, which was reported by a German user, but no action has been taken by the company.

New Delhi: Haryana Minister Anil Vij was served notice by Twitter for his tweet which said that seeds of anti-nationalism. should be destroyed . Shortly later, the microblogging site did a U-turn and said that the tweet was not subject to removal . While deleting the tweet, the Twitter notice had cited that the post was being removed on the basis of a complaint by a Germany-based individual.
NEW DELHI: After Twitter was forced to suspend handles branded “objectionable” by the Union government, the Supreme Court on Friday sought the social media platform’s response to a PIL seeking a direction to the government to frame a legal mechanism to weed out communal, casteist and divisive content freely circulated on the platform.
A bench of Chief Justice S A Bobde and Justices A S Bopanna and V Ramasubramanian didn’t require much persuasion to entertain the PIL filed by Vinit Goenka, a member of the governing council of the Centre for Railway Information Systems in the ministry of railways. The bench issued notices to the Centre and Twitter Communications Private Ltd, Mumbai.
