Two dozen GOP lawmakers from Louisiana have waded into the national debate over the legitimacy of the 2020 presidential election s outcome.
The state legislators have sent a letter to Louisiana s Republican congressmen asking them to reject Democratic President-elect Joe Biden s electors from six swing states.
The GOP lawmakers back President Donald Trump s claims of widespread voter fraud despite nearly 60 court rulings that dismissed such allegations based on a lack of evidence. Nineteen states have challenged the unconstitutional appointment of the electors for the six states where much of the fraud occurred, state Rep. Beryl Amedee, R-Gray, said in a news release.
