Although many anticipated the passing of 2020, for others the end of December had loomed as the date marking the end of protections from being evicted because of non-payment of rent.
With the signing of the most recent stimulus package, that deadline has been extended until the end of this month, even as the pandemic continues to affect the economy across the country. People are again faced with the possibility of losing their housing at the end of the month.

WILLIAMSPORT-All year long American Rescue Workers works to provide the spirit of love, hope and grace to those experiencing hunger and homelessness. During the holiday season it is of the utmost importance to also spread Christmas cheer to those in their care.
“Financial resources are always tight at American Rescue Workers, and like many families, resources become especially tight during the holidays. This year thanks to a generous contribution from Don Lundy, President of Lundy Warehousing, Inc, it was with ease that we were able to provide toys and gifts to those in our care and their loved ones,” said Valerie Fessler, Director of Development and Community Engagement.
