53-year-old Ramon Castro arrested in Worcester after 65-year-old man was fatally stabbed in backseat of a car

Police in Worcester arrested a 53-year-old man on Wednesday in connection with a fatal stabbing that occurred earlier in the day in the backseat of a livery vehicle, authorities said.
Ramon Castro of Worcester was arrested in connection with the fatal stabbing of a 65-year-old man, police said. Castro was arrested on Main Street and charged with aggravated assault and battery with a dangerous weapon causing serious bodily injury, authorities said.
At around 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, officers responded to the Saint Vincent Hospital parking lot for a report of a stabbing, police said. After arriving, police found a 65-year-old man in the emergency room who had been stabbed, authorities said.

Police in Worcester arrested a 23-year-old man after a report of gunshots on South Street in Worcester on Tuesday morning, authorities said.
Angel Rodriguez, of Worcester, was arrested and charged with carrying a firearm without a license and carrying a loaded firearm without a license, police said.
Police responded to a ShotSpotter activation in the area of 61 South St. just after midnight on Tuesday, authorities said.
After arriving, officers saw a man bend down and place something near the tire of a car, police said. When officers approached the area, they found a gun, police said.
Officials said they are investigating a shooting early Sunday morning in Worcester, Massachusetts. Worcester Police were called to the area of 93 Austin St..
