WORCESTER From Lake Ellie to the Seven Seas, it s been a heck of a ride for Brian Skerry, an award-winning photojournalist specializing in marine wildlife and underwater environments.
Skerry was born in Milford, grew up in Uxbridge, graduated from Worcester State University in 1984, and since 1998 he has been a contract photographer for National Geographic Magazine covering a wide range of subjects and stories to great acclaim.
The deepest dive yet of his career may be Secrets of the Whales, a three-year project he created and served as a producer for that took him to 24 locations around the world.

• Marcio Cirino has been promoted to Assistant Vice President of Retail Lending at Rollstone Bank & Trust. He has been with RBT since 2011 and in Retail Lending since 2014. • Ellen Coughlin was promoted to the position of Vice President, Human Resources and Development. For the last five years, Coughlin was the Assistant Vice President of Human Resources, but has been with the organization for 17 years. She will be responsible for all the Human Resources functions, development and training and will become a member of the Senior Management Team reporting to President and CEO Barbara Mahoney.

FITCHBURG Sizer School nurse Elizabeth Dugas, a native of Ashburnham, has been accepted to serve as the Region 4 co-chairperson for the Massachusetts School Nursing Organization (MSNO).
The mission of the School Nursing Organization is to “Promote and advance quality school health services throughout the Commonwealth and promote the rights, interests and professional growth of our members,” according to their website, msno.org. “Members are encouraged to take an active stance in decisions directly impacting school nursing, especially in the legislative, economic and educational areas.”
Region 4 is western Massachusetts and is considered the largest of the 10 regions. This new opportunity will allow Dugas to connect to fellow school nurses to each other and resources to better serve the student population.
