Gold Worth Rs 67 Lakh At Mangaluru Airport Confiscated From Duo Mangaluru, Jan 6: Gold worth Rs 67 lakh were confiscated from two passengers here at the international airport, officials of the Revenue Intelligence Directorate (DRI) said on Wednesday. A DRI press release said the two passengers who had arrived here from Dubai on Tuesday were intercepted and checked based on a tip-off. One of the passengers from Bhatkal in Karnataka had concealed five balls in his rectum containing gold paste covered in adhesive tape, the release said. The balls yielded, 641,41 gm of gold, it said. The other passenger belonging to Kasaragod in Kerala was discovered concealing gold in paste shape with a special pouch in his underwear, the release added.
