There’s no doubt that the coronavirus pandemic has had an impact on every section of society. Sadly, some of the more damaging consequences have been seen in the UK’s most vulnerable families and communities.
“For over 15 years, AlphaBiolabs have provided DNA, drug and alcohol testing services to local authorities and organisations involved in family law and child welfare,” said AlphaBiolabs Director, Rachel Davenport.

Saturday will see Daisy’s for East Lancashire Hospice open its doors to the people of Wilpshire and the surrounding areas for the first time.

The new flagship, boutique style shop will be the latest to join the hospice s retail portfolio and aims to lead the way in charity retail with a luxury boutique style store, which represents a new movement in ethical retail.
Located at 781 New Whalley Road, Blackburn, it will be selling pre-loved and new clothing, shoes, bags, jewellery and accessories many of which will also be available to purchase online soon. It isn’t, however, just the concept for the new shop that’s special. In fact, the owners of the premises, Adrian Swindlehurst and his wife, Lisa, have a particularly special link to the hospice having previously run a newsagent and post office from the location for over 20 years.

Developed by ICAR, Pusa Hydrogel is being marketed by Palakkad Krishi Vigyan Kendra Hydrogel capsules,brought out by Krishi Vigyan Kendra(KVK) in Palakkad to help conserve soil moisture, is increasingly becoming popular among the farming community in Kerala.
This is evident from its sales in the last one year, enabling KVK to sell around 3-4 lakh capsules. Idukki Cardamom Growers Cooperative Society made a bulk procurement and other farming communities as well made such purchases, V.P.James, Technical Officer in KVK Palakkad said.
Despite being launched two years ago, the product had not received the desired attention from farming communities. As a government entity, KVK has its own limitations for an aggressive marketing of the product and its promotion was confined mainly through Krishi Bhavans.
