Ben Ray Luján (D-N.M.) issued the following statement upon the announcement that millions of American households will begin receiving payments July 15 through the expanded Child Tax Credit (CTC) program: “From the beginning of this pandemic, New Mexico families have struggled to make ends meet. That’s why I worked in the Senate to pass the American Rescue Plan to deliver much-needed relief to New Mexicans and strengthen the Child Tax Credit to combat child poverty. This landmark law is an investment in our children – our future – that benefits 95% of children across the state.
