running into a problem of residents not being home. Please

WELCOME Last Sunday’s pancake feed fundraiser at the Welcome Fire Hall was a success, and the fire department would like to thank the community for their support. The raffle winners were also named that day and the grand prize winner of a Cup N’ Saucer food tasting for 10 people was won by Ron Glidden. There were four $50 gift cards given by Welcome Meats, two $25 gift cards from Korte’s, three $25 gift cards from Welcome Legion, and eight gift cards from Tami’s on the Ave. Congratulations to the winners and the fire fighters for a fun and delicious event. Thank you to the businesses and individuals that furnished gift cards for the raffle and the community members who came to the drive-thru pancake feed.

Welcome City Council meeting held Tuesday began with the mayor, Jack Newville, and new councilman, Elroy Glidden, taking the oath of office. The meeting was live streamed on Zoom also. The council set the fees that were listed in the city code book. They also designated Welcome City Hall as a polling place for the 2022 election.
The committees for the year were appointed by Mayor Newville.
The reports from city employees were received and the council approved the request from the Welcome Legion to postpone getting their license until their re-opening.
Clothing monies for city employees, Max and Brock, was discussed and they will receive the year’s monies each January.
