(Wyoming News Now) - Cheyenne will soon have some live music for all to see, as Edge Fest will go down next month on August 28. In the seven years since its creation, the festival has seen its fair share of growth. Dave Teubner, CEO and Founder of Warehouse 21, said, “it’s been amazing, actually. We started in a parking lot in the west edge district, maybe a couple hundred people would show up. Over the years we grown to maybe four thousand people.”

(Wyoming News Now) - Natrona County School District has a variety of activities that can keep kids cool and keep their minds sharp during the summer. Tanya Southerland, the NCSD Public Information Officer, said there are community organizations like the Planetarium and local museums for the community to enjoy. Some schools also do a jumpstart program. “It’s a program where maybe would be like a week or so at an elementary school where the kindergarten students can get acclimated to the environment,” Southerland said.

(Wyoming News Now) - If you’re seeing haze in the sky this week you are not alone. The forest fire smoke we’ve been seeing recently is coming not only from Wyoming but Colorado, Montana, Washington and Oregon. The Bootleg fire, outside of Beatty, Oregon has burned up over 150,000 acres. This means they are approaching Mullen fire scales just in Oregon. The smoke from western Montana is drifting into central Wyoming and Cheyenne. The Morgan Creek fire is burning in Medicine Bow-Routt National Forest in Colorado providing smoke to the front range.
