Limited visitation returns at Wyoming County Community Hospital

WARSAW — Limited visitation has returned at Wyoming County Community Hospital. The visitations were restarted Feb. 23, loosening some of the restrictions enacted as precautions against COVID-19. Hospital officials said monitoring will be ongoing, as patient, staff and community health remains a priority. “We understand the importance of patient interaction with their loved ones and the role visitation plays in a patients’ emotional wellbeing and therefore in their recovery,” hospital officials said in Facebook post. “We encourage families to continue to consider communication through phone and video chat during other hours of the day. “The Patient and Family Services department can help set up the video call,” they said. “If an in-person visit is desired, the following precautions remain in place to protect our community, patients, families, staff, and visitors, against the potential risk for acquiring and/or the spread of infectious disease

Barbara J Fuller

Barbara J. Fuller, age 84, of Warsaw, passed away due to complications from Covid-19 on Dec. 29, 2020 at the Wyoming County Community Hospital. She was born May 3, 1936, in Rochester, N.Y., daughter of the late Franklin and Lucy Clark Crist. Barb was a graduate of Warsaw Central School Class of 1955 where she earned a school social letter recognizing her participation in a multitude of school clubs and activities including cheerleading. She worked for many years at the former Sears Catalog Store in Warsaw and then spent many years as a bank teller with Wyoming County Bank prior to her retirement. She was a member of the First United Methodist church of Warsaw.
