(WFIE) - The Posey County Prosecutor says 30-year-old Casey Allen Ellis, of Wadesville, will serve prison time for failing to abide by the laws required of sex offenders. Ellis was in court Wednesday morning where he was sentenced to five years in prison after pleading guilty to Failure to Register as a Sex or Violent Offender, a Level 5 Felony. The prosecutor says Ellis fled to Kentucky for two months and did not register as a sex offender as required by law.

26 years later, convicted killer Tom Ross released from prison MUNCIE, Ind.  Tuesday marked a day that friends and relatives of slaying victim Paula Arbogast Ross had been dreading for more than a quarter-century. According to the Indiana Department of Correction, the Delaware County woman s ex-husband, Tom Ross, was to be released Tuesday after having been incarcerated since Oct. 5, 1994. On that morning   9,652 days ago  Tom Ross approached his 28-year-old ex-wife s car after she had dropped off their 6-year-old daughter at Gaston Elementary School. Ross  who had stalked, harassed and repeatedly threatened to kill Paula in the months leading up to their divorce  ended her life with a blast, from a stolen .38-caliber handgun, fired at her head.
