26 years later, convicted killer Tom Ross released from prison
MUNCIE, Ind. — Tuesday marked a day that friends and relatives of slaying victim Paula Arbogast Ross had been dreading for more than a quarter-century.
According to the Indiana Department of Correction, the Delaware County woman's ex-husband, Tom Ross, was to be released Tuesday after having been incarcerated since Oct. 5, 1994.
On that morning — 9,652 days ago — Tom Ross approached his 28-year-old ex-wife's car after she had dropped off their 6-year-old daughter at Gaston Elementary School.
Ross — who had stalked, harassed and repeatedly threatened to kill Paula in the months leading up to their divorce — ended her life with a blast, from a stolen .38-caliber handgun, fired at her head.
