On March 27, RCMP officers from several detachments, along with officers from the Fish and Wildlife Enforcement Services, conducted joint patrols of Pigeon Lake.
RCMP Officers from Wetaskiwin, Wetaskiwin Integrated Traffic Unit, Thorsby and Breton detachments as well as a Community Peace Officer from Wetaskiwin County, joined up to assist Fish and Wildlife with this operation on Pigeon Lake.

A number of check stops were conducted at major access points on Pigeon Lake. RCMP officers were paired with Fish and Wildlife Enforcement officers to check for compliance with respect to holding proper angling licences/adhering to catch limits, traffic related offences as well as alcohol & cannabis related offences.
