Five things to know as the European Tour returns to the Canary Islands for the inaugural Gran Canaria Lopesan Open

The European Tour has a rich history of hosting events in the Canary Islands, but makes its return to Gran Canaria this week for the first time since the Canaries Open de España in 2002, which was won by Sergio Garcia.
The inaugural event marks the start of three consecutive weeks of the new âCanary Islands Swingâ and will be followed by back-to-back events in Tenerife: The Tenerife Open and the Tenerife Championship.

Dha: Commercial Bank, the Title Sponsor of the Commercial Bank Qatar Masters, and Education City Golf Club (ECGC) have successfully concluded a fantastic golf tournament which took place at the ECGC brand-new course.
After what was a truly captivating final day of the event, Commercial Bank’s Board Member Sheikh Faisal bin Fahad bin Jassim Al Thani, and GCEO Joseph Abraham presented the Mother of Pearl trophy to Antoine Rozner as he emerged the winner of the tournament yesterday. Rozner was also granted a financial award of $228,048.

In some respects, Cameron Davis is the Aussie on the PGA TOUR that no one saw coming.
Certainly not at the speed at which he arrived.
His amateur career was one that few can match.
The 2014 Victorian Amateur champion, Davis won the Australian Amateur title in 2015 and in 2016 was the individual winner at the Eisenhower Trophy that the Australian team won by 19 strokes in Mexico.
Those within the inner sanctum of Australian golf knew Davis had game but when he chased down Jason Day to clinch the 2017 Australian Open from six strokes back the 22-year-old entered a new stratosphere.
