Atlas Copco has said it will acquire Arpuma regel- und fördertechnische Geräte GmbH (Arpuma), a specialist in vacuum systems and solutions for the chemical and pharmaceutical industry.
th April) acquired Iberica Vacuum, the Edwards vacuum distributor in Spain and Portugal.
Located in Madrid, Spain, Iberica Vacuum has a customer base formed mainly of industrial and scientific companies, as well as universities and research institutes.
The company is privately owned and has ten employees.
Commenting on the transaction, Geert Follens, Business Area President Vacuum Technique at Atlas Copco, said, “We have had a successful partnership with Iberica Vacuum in Spain and Portugal since its founding in 2007.”
“Through this acquisition we will get the opportunity to better serve current customers and further strengthen our market presence for the Edwards brand in this key region of Southern Europe.”
