The board will first look at current COVID-19 policies. Discussions may be had with department heads on either the tightening or loosening of policies in each department as well as in county buildings and grounds. At 9:10 am, the board will begin discussions on several drainage issues. The first of these will be in Drainage District 5 will be addressed by David Heimendinger and Robert Hanson will talk with the board about making their ditch a district tile with the official title of lateral 19. The board will set a public hearing date on the matter and then hire an engineer from Jacobsen-Westergard to evaluate for new levy rates.

Louisa County supervisors hear city complaints; beavers blamed for water problems Jim Rudisill for The Hawk Eye WAPELLO Local property owners’ concerns over a drainage issue in the south end of Wapello are leading to complaints to the Louisa County Board of Supervisors, which agreed Tuesday during its regular weekly meeting to try to mediate the issue. Supervisors Brad Quigley, Randy Griffin and Chris Ball reported receiving calls over the continuing problems in the area. However, they later agreed during a discussion with county engineer Adam Shutt that the problems should be handled by Wapello city and Drainage District #12 officials.

The board meeting will be highlighted with a review of bonds that were issued prior to the construction of the Public Safety Center. The meeting will start with a review of secondary roads by Winnebago County Engineer Scott Meinders. He will review the grading and repairs that are being done to the roads. He may also highlight any upcoming projects that the department may have to handle. He will also forward a resolution for the purchase of equipment for his department.

Wright County Board to Discuss Professional Building Changes – Mix 107 3 KIOW

AJ Taylor2 weeks agoLast Updated: April 8, 2021 The Wright County Board of Supervisors will meet on Monday beginning at 9 am to first discuss any changes that may need to be made to the current COVID-19 policies implemented by the county. The offices currently employ specific protocols in order to prevent the spread of the virus and with the current rate of vaccinations, combined with the downturn in infections, the board may implement changes to policy or keep them as is. Wright County Maintenance Director Andy Yackle will meet with the board on two subjects, both dealing with the professional building. Jen Sheehan with County Social Services or CSS and Wright County Veterans Affairs Director Chris Oliver will join the conversation as to whether to change the name on the Professional Building.

Hancock County Board to Review Drainage Matters – Mix 107 3 KIOW

The first will be in the Supervisors Room of the Hancock County Courthouse in Garner. The second will be in its basement. The board will first discuss postponements of tax sales. Hancock County Treasurer Deb Engstler will ask the board to postpone the sales for at least another month under Iowa Code Chapter 446. COVID-19 and social distancing play a role in the postponement. The board will then look into the possibility of setting a date and time for a public hearing on the construction  of a swine confinement facility in section 17 of Erin Township by Nutra Tech. The board may discuss the issue before setting the date for public comment.
