The United Way in Traverse City is getting back into a routine, launching another round of grants to help local nonprofits.
Like many organizations, the United Way of Northwest Michigan had to adapt to different priorities during COVID. But they’re shifting from a focus on funding emergency needs related to the pandemic, to launching the next cycle of “Community Impact Grants”.
They’re awarding grants to five different groups and causes: Habitat for Humanity Grand Traverse Region, the Migrant Education Summer Program, and the Substance Free Coalition of Northwest Michigan, the Great Lakes Children’s Museum and the Northwest Coalition to End Homelessness.
