RICHMOND, Va. Multiple freight cars tipped over on Friday afternoon, according to the Richmond Fire Department.
On Friday around 1:26 p.m., crews responded to an area down the North Bank Trail near Hollywood Cemetery for the report of a train derailment.
Once on the scene, crews found multiple freight cars that had been carrying coal tipped over.
Some of the coal was spilled onto the track and the ground in the area but there was no coal in the water.

RICHMOND, Va. An investigation is underway to determine what caused a CSX train to derail in Richmond.
Fire crews were called to Tredegar Street in Richmond at about 6:50 p.m. Tuesday.

Once on scene, they reported 16 cars of a CSX freight train went off the track, according to a Richmond Fire spokesperson. No injuries were reported. Our crews, fortunately, found no hazards, the spokesperson wrote in a tweet.
A CSX spokesperson confirmed the train was headed to Rocky Mount, North Carolina.
Three of the derailed cars were empty, CSX spokesperson Sheriee Bowman wrote in an email. The others carried paperboard and rock.
Eugene clears homeless camps near Valley River Center
The city said campers were notified on March 3 of the scheduled cleanup.

EUGENE, Ore. – Eugene closed the North Bank Path on Tuesday to allow crews to clear homeless camps between the Valley River Center and Ferry Street Bridge.
The city acquired the stretch of property from the Oregon Department of Transportation in February, but has reportedly received complaints about garbage, pollution, behavior and camping issues along the riverbank for years.
Camping is not allowed in sensitive riparian areas.
The city said campers were notified on March 3 of the scheduled cleanup.
