A 32-year-old man died Tuesday, nine days after he was shot in Pleasant Grove, Dallas police say.
Officers were called at about 9:50 p.m. on May 16 to a shooting in the 10100 block of Bruton Road, near North Masters Drive, where Harvey Deontay Hughes had been shot.

Hughes was taken to a local hospital, where he died Tuesday of his injuries, police said.

Dallas police are investigating after a man was found fatally shot Tuesday afternoon.
Police were called to perform a welfare check about 4:40 p.m. in the 10400 block of Checota Drive, near North Masters Drive in Pleasant Grove, and found 21-year-old Mateo Hernandez unresponsive in the driver’s seat of a vehicle.
Hernandez had been shot once in the chest and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police have not made any arrests or identified any suspects.
