FARMINGTON A small group of volunteers made for a large effort, as they helped place 300 wreaths on the graves of veterans in Farmington.
The volunteer effort was limited to 40 people because of COVID-19 restrictions, but several Scouts, families, veterans and even a group of friends who work out together gathered at the South Farmington Friends Cemetery on Saturday for a ceremony explaining the significance of Wreaths Across America Day, as well as to pay tribute to those who are laid to rest here.
Volunteers also placed wreaths at other cemeteries in town, including North Farmington Cemetery, where more than 100 wreaths were placed.
