North Country colleges announce plans for upcoming school year

Photo: Chris Morris via Adirondack Daily Enterprise May 25, 2021 Colleges in the North Country are preparing for students to return to campus for the upcoming school year. North Country Community College announced on Tuesday that students will be able to choose from in-person, hybrid, or remote options for the fall semester. The college has three campuses, in Saranac Lake, Malone, and Ticonderoga. These locations will offer in-person and hybrid classes. According to a press release from the college, the Saranac Lake location will also offer on-campus housing for students in the fall.

Canton student earns Rotary Student of the Month at BOCES Seaway Tech for April

Wednesday, May 12, 2021 - 11:48 am NORWOOD The Seaway Career & Technical Education Center in Norwood announces Hailee Duvall as the Potsdam Rotary Club Student of the Month for April 2021. She is a student in the Health Careers Program, from the Canton Central School District and is the daughter of Heather Perkins and James Duvall. Health Careers is a two-year program that provides students with the foundation needed to pursue a career in the health care field. Basic entry level skills are learned through theory and also in the lab setting for a variety of health occupations. Duvall has spent her junior and senior year learning about work ethic, body structure and function, health and wellness, nutrition, anatomy and physiology, how to measure vital signs along with spending time in the lab practicing the skills necessary to provide patient care in the health care setting.
