The incident occurred around North Grand High School in West Humboldt Park.
An 81-year-old man was shot in the back.
The man was standing in the street in the 1700 block of North Tripp at about 6:50 p.m. when an unknown offender shot him in the back, Chicago police said.

Humboldt Park neighborhood on the West Side Tuesday evening.
Chicago police say a 2-year-old was shot in the leg and a 32-year-old male was shot in the face at about 7:25 p.m. in the 1500-block of North Tripp Avenue.
Both victims were transported to St. Mary’s Hospital, but were later transported to Stroger Hospital in critical condition, according to police.

Two people, including a toddler, are in critical condition after they were shot in front of a residence on Chicago’s Northwest Side on Tuesday.

A person then got out of the car, pulled out a weapon and opened fire, striking both victims.
