RCMP Investigating Collision at Allenby and Trans Canada Highway SHARE ON: RCMP Cruiser (Photo from BC RCMP Flickr) The North Cowichan-Duncan RCMP are looking for witnesses in the investigation of a motor vehicle collision from earlier today. The incident claimed the life of one person on the Trans Canada Highway, near Allenby Road. The collision happened at around 11:25 in the morning. Police were called to the scene and found a commercial vehicle that had stopped just past the intersection, and a pedestrian lying on the ground with serious injuries. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene, their identity will not be released.

RCMP Looking for Two Missing Persons SHARE ON: The North Cowichan-Duncan RCMP is asking for public help in locating two missing persons, in separate cases. Cameron Blake Beaven is said to live a high-risk lifestyle, which leads family friends and police to be concerned for his well-being. He’s been missing since June 11, and police have been looking for him since June 26. He’s listed at 5-foot-8, light brown hair, blue eyes. He doesn’t have a cell phone, but is known to associate in Victoria and Nanaimo, along with the Cowichan Valley. The other missing person is Jose Quincin-Aquino, a 39-year old man. Jose is a Guatemalan born farm-worker with limited English language skills, last seen on June 8th in Chemainus.

The fire was reported at around 9:30 am on Christmas Day, and once investigators were able to enter the house on Grieve Road they found body of 79-year old Frederick Allen Jones. Lead investigator, RCMP Corporal Jen Morgan, says sometimes the smallest piece of information is the key investigators are looking for and they hope someone will be able to provide this.
