Feds: Hartford fentanyl dealer gets more than 5 years in jail

HARTFORD A city man who distributed fentanyl while on federal supervised release will spend five and a half years in prison, federal prosecutors said.
Yacov “C-Low” Ocasio, 24, was sentenced Tuesday by Judge Jeffrey A. Meyer in New Haven to serve 66 months in prison, followed by five years of supervised release.
He pleaded guilty on Nov. 5, 2020, to possession with intent to distribute, and distribution of fentanyl.

HARTFORD A member of the Latin Kings gang operating out of the Hartford area was sentenced this week to more than seven years in prison on drug and gun charges, according to federal prosecutors.
Judge Kari A. Dooley sentenced Jason “Hood” Figueroa, 31, to 87 months in prison during a video conference hearing on Wednesday due to the ongoing pandemic. Dooley also sentenced Figueroa’s prison term to be followed by three years of supervised release.
On Nov. 23, 2020, Figueroa also known as “Hoodie” pleaded guilty to possession with intent to distribute, and distribution of crack and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
