Atlanta High School Senior Accepted Into 29 Universities, Awarded Over $2 Million in Scholarships
A high school senior in Atlanta is spoiled for choice after being accepted into 29 universities and receiving $2.2 million in scholarships.
Kamryn Stargell, a student from North Atlanta High School, was overjoyed when she started receiving the acceptance letters in March.
“I was super excited to get in,” Kamryn said in an interview with Fox 5 Atlanta. “Mainly because I was really anxious about applying and waiting to see if I was going to get in.”
Kamryn started applying to schools and for scholarships at the earliest opportunity even before she completed her high school.

ATLANTA Five high-school seniors from Buckhead are among 73 throughout Georgia to receive a $2,500 National Merit Scholarship for 2021. The latest winners were announced Wednesday.

Julia E. Rhee, The Westminster Schools, Atlanta
Laura F. Romig, Pace Academy, Atlanta
Anthony Salazar Gutierrez, Pace Academy, Atlanta
Wednesday s list is the second round of 2021 National Merit scholarships. The first round of corporate-sponsored National Merit scholarships was announced on April 21. Winners of college-sponsored scholarships will be announced in June and July.

APS announced elementary and high school days will start earlier and last longer starting next year, and a student said the decision came out of nowhere.
ATLANTA - Thousands of students in Atlanta Public Schools will be setting their alarms earlier when they return to the classroom next fall.
Elementary schools will start classes at 8:30 am.
The school days will be 30 minutes longer for the next three years as a part of an effort by the district to address learning loss due to the pandemic.

An Atlanta high school student has been accepted into nearly 30 colleges and has been offered more than $2 million in scholarships.
ATLANTA - Hard work has paid off for a North Atlanta High School senior.
Kamryn Stargell has been accepted into 29 universities and has been offered over $2.2 million in scholarships.
Stargell said she received her first acceptance letter from Virginia Tech in October and the acceptance emails have just kept coming.
She, and other family members, are seen screaming in some videos taken as she read the emails from the universities.
