The San Dieguito Union High School District announced Ana Maria Ochoa as its 2021 Classified Employee of the Year and is celebrating all certificated staff for its 2021 Teacher of the Year honor.

“This has been a very trying year for educators throughout the country, and it is important that we take the time to acknowledge the dedicated service that our classified and certificated employees provide to our students,” said San Dieguito Union High School District Superintendent Robert Haley in a release. “I am honored to congratulate Ana Maria Ochoa as the Classified Employee of the Year, an award that quite frankly could have been given to her many years for her service in the Transportation Department.

Volunteering at Mt. Woodson Elementary School years ago started Linda Phillips-Dodson down a path of part-time and full-time educational support jobs that culminated in her recent honor as Ramona Unified School District’s Classified Employee of the Year for 2021-22.
Phillips-Dodson, who works as a secretary V at Ramona Community Campus just one level below the district’s top-tier secretarial position said she was “shocked and surprised” when she was awarded the honor Feb. 25 in the school’s office.

Denise works diligently from the time she arrives until she leaves. She is amazing! Denise has a calm and kind demeanor with students and staff. She looks for ways to help and support always.

Ryan Phelan, Administrator of the Year
Ryan Phelan has been selected as the Administrator of the Year for 2020/2021 for his tremendous leadership given to Kingsburg High School. This past year has been one of the most difficult years in KJUHSD s history. Ryan has masterfully handled all his duties as principal along with the COVID-19 mitigation. COVID-19 mitigation has been very complex and difficult, but Ryan has been instrumental in getting our school open and keeping it open.  Ryan is not only a leader at KHS but in the Kingsburg community. Thank you for your tremendous leadership to make KHS all it can be. Congratulations, Ryan!Â
