At about 9:51 a.m. the Lompoc Fire Department responded to reports of smoke coming from a residence in the 100 block of North K street. Neighbors reported hearing someone yelling from inside the burning home. Crews arrived at the scene and saw smoke coming from a single story, multi family home. The occupants from adjoining residences were quickly evacuated. Lompoc Fire Crews forced entry into the unit and began a search and an interior attack to contain the fire. Crews rescued one occupant from the building at 10:03 a.m. AMR transported the patient to the Lompoc Airport and flown to cottage Hospital by Cal Star for further care.
