Protesters Ignored The 12 PM - 8 PM Tractor Rally Schedule, Began Breaking Barricades As Early As 8 AM: Report

Nothing went as planned on Tuesday regarding the schedule and plan of the tractor rally by farmers protesting against the new farm bills at New Delhi border. The police and farmer union leaders have had several rounds of meetings and chalked-out the route and timings of the rally, but nearly all conditions were broken.

The Times of India, the timing decided was 12 pm to 5 pm. However, protesters began challenging the police as early as 6 30 am, that is, much before the Republic Day parade.

Thousands of protesting farmers who today blocked several arterial roads as they entered the national capital on their tractors to press for their demand for repealing the three central agriculture laws, have started to return to the protest sites at Delhi borders. The traffic on several of these roads that had become battlegrounds between the police and protesters is running smoothly, police informed on Twitter.
Traffic movement is now normal from Mukarba Chowk to Singhu border, the Delhi Police tweeted. The police today lathi-charged protesters at Mukarba Chowk to disperse them.

The farmersâ tractor rally scheduled for today took a violent turn as the protesters refused to adhere to the regulations of the police. The mob stormed the Red Fort after breaking through barricades at different border points in Delhi.
Video footages showed protesters attacking the police personnel with lathis and swords in hands. They were also seen ramming their tractors in the buses parked by police in the ITO area of the Capital.

Hours ahead of mega tractor rally called by farmers protesting against three new farm laws, Delhi s iconic Signature bridge was on Monday closed by police after some tractors forcefully tried to enter the national capital from Loni border side and allegedly broke the barricades. A mild force was used by the police in order to control the disturbance caused.
Delhi Police has allowed farmers to carry out a tractor rally from only three of Delhi s border points i.e. Singhu, Tikri and Ghazipur.
