Ghaziabad (Uttar Pradesh) [India], June 6 (ANI): The Ghaziabad police on Saturday conducted a raid at a private swimming pool after receiving information that the pool is being operated during the ongoing lockdown.
The owner of a swimming pool in Ghaziabad has been booked for allegedly operating the pool. With COVID curfew still in place, locals violated lockdown rules and gathered at the pool in large numbers. We received information through locals that a pool in Loni Border area had secretly opened its doors to locals. A police team immediately reached the spot. The owner has been booked and a case has been filed against him under various sections, said Deputy superintendent of police (DSP), Loni area Atul Sonkar.

GHAZIABAD: The owner of a private swimming pool in Loni has been arrested for allegedly allowing people to use it during the lockdown, the police said on Saturday.
The matter came to light when an unknown person in the neighbourhood recorded the activities inside the pool and posted a video, which went viral.
A team immediately raided the area on Friday following which Sagar Dhama was arrested, an officer said.
“On Friday evening, we got a tip-off that a private swimming pool in Loni’s Rahul Garden was operating in violation of Covid protocols. We raided the pool and found that more than two people had gathered at the spot to take a dip,” said Circle Officer (Loni) Atul Sonkar.
Ghaziabad: After “workplace” and “guardian special” vaccination centres, the district administration has now planned to open two special inoculation booths for women.
The sites will open next week and residents will have to book slots online before getting the jabs. According to officials, 200 people would be vaccinated at each centre daily. While one booth will be in trans-Hindon area, the other will be in city area. The exact date and location for the booths are yet to be decided, officials said. Meanwhile, residents welfare associations have been asked to prepare lists of domestic staff employed in housing societies so that they can be inoculated at the special booths, a senior health official.
