There s something wonderful about driving down a two-lane road with the windows open on a warm summer evening. I particularly love the feel of wind against my arm held out the window as I make it swim. Up. Down. Up. Wind on my palm. I m high-fiving Wisconsin s summer nights to the sounds of crickets and frogs.
Driving down winding roads is one of my favorite Wisconsin summer pastimes. When it includes a stop at a supper club, well, it really doesn t get any better.
Stepping inside, it takes a moment for your eyes to adjust from the bright evening skies to low-light interior. But the popping and fizzing of laughter and conversations fueled by Old-Fashioneds is immediate.

Several different agencies have roadwork projects around the Lake Tahoe Basin from spring to fall. Each week we publish projects planned by the Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT), the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans), the County of El Dorado, and the City of South Lake Tahoe. Until May, road work in the Lake Tahoe area will be limited.
NDOT - Lake Tahoe and Douglas County
Utility Work (Minor Delays) - on US-50 in both directions between Elks Point Road and Stateline in Douglas County Nevada. Sunday through Thursday from 7 PM to 6 AM roadwork with intermittent delays. Consider an alternate route. The estimated End Time is 6:00 AM on 05/06/21
