Commission formed to settle Lower Dir, Bajaur land dispute Peshawar April 2, 2021 MINGORA: A high level meeting of officials of Lower Dir and Bajaur was held at the office of commissioner Malakand division and discussed matters pertaining to boundary demarcation between the two districts in Saidu Sharif on Thursday Commissioner Malakand Zaheerul Islam presided the meeting. Deputy Inspector General of Police, Malakand, Abdul Ghafoor Afridi, Deputy Commissioner Lower Dir Aon Haider, District Police Officer Shahzada Kokab Farooq, DPO Lower Dir Liaqat Ali and other officials from the two districts attended the meeting. The participants after thorough discussion decided to constitute a commission headed by additional commissioner Malakand division for resolving the land dispute and the boundary issue between the two districts.

The decision to this effect was taken in a meeting chaired by Commissioner Malakand Division at Saidu Sharif on Thursday. The meeting was also attended by Deputy Commissioner Dir Lower, District Police Officers, Kokab Farooq and Liaqat Ali. The commission would be headed by Additional Commissioner Malakand Division and complete arrangements for the demarcation between the two districts at point of River Panjkora and submit a report to commissioner Malakand within ten days.

PTI supporters celebrate victory of woman senator National March 7, 2021 CHITRAL: The euphoria on the winning of the Senate election by a woman candidate of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf continued in Chitral district for the fourth consecutive day on Saturday. Besides the PTI workers and activists, members of civil society and general public also took part in the celebrations of Falak Naz victory on the women seat in the recent Senate election and distributed sweets among the people. They thanked Prime Minister Imran Khan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Shah Farman and Chief Minister Mahmood Khan for electing a woman hailing from a middle class on the Senate coveted seat from the backward district of Chitral.
